Singapore Open 2019: Star Studded Singapore Open will feature world no.1 players in all five events.

Singapore: Singapore Open being played at the Singapore Indoor Stadium from 9-14 April will feature world no.1 players in all the five events. Lin Dan, Chen Long and other big names are also featuring to make the field star-studded.

Kento Momota, the reigning men’s singles world no.1 player with more than 1 lakh ranking points is ready to take on Sai Praneeth of India. Momota may face other two indians HS Prannoy and Kidambi Srikanth in the following rounds.

Tai Tzu Ying will begin her campaign against Zhang Beiwen of USA. She had also won the tournament two years ago in 2017. She will receive stiff competition from the likes of Sung Ji Hyun, Akane Yamaguchi and Ratchanok Intanon who are also in the first half of the draw.

Kevin Sanjaya/Gideon Fernaldi are spearheading the Indonesian doubles team in men’s doubles. They will meet fellow teammates Angriawan/Hardianto in the first round. Li Junhui /Liu Yuchen will lead China’s challenge in the Men’s Doubles.

Japanese strong Women’s Doubles team will feature World no. 1’s Yuki Fukushima/ Sayaka Hirota and Rio Olympic Gold Medalists Matsutomo/Takahashi. Japan is the favorite to win this as they have the strongest women’s doubles line up.

Mixed doubles features the World No. 1 pair of Zheng Siwei/ Huang Yaqiong of China taking on Hoki/Nagahara in the first round. The tournament is going to be a treat for the Badminton fans in Singapore.
